At the Annual Meeting in August 2021, Welches Water Company members voted to establish a rate-based fee that will be added to the $400 a year connection fee we currently pay

Charges included on billing:

  • Annual Base Membership Water Fee: $400

Quarterly Option:

  • 1st Quarter, July 1 $100.00
  • 2nd Quarter, October 1 $100.00
  • 3rd Quarter, January 1 $100.00
  • 4th Quarter, April 1 $100.00      

Rate-Based Fee:
In addition to the annual base membership fee, the amount you pay is based on usage

  • $.003 cents per gallon for water use up to 75,000 gallons per year
  • $.01 cents per gallon for water use over 75,000 per year  

The average use per WWC member household is about 140 gallons per day which would cost about $153 per year

Non-Routine, System-Related Charges:

  • Title Transfer Fee: $125.00
  • Late Notice Fee after 30 days delinquent $25.00
  • Late Notice Fee after 60 days delinquent $50.00
  • Certified Letter Fees $12.00
  • Lien Filing Fees $60.00
  • Lien Release Fees $60.00 Customer Checks Returned NSF $35.00

Locating a member’s shut off valve is subject to the cost incurred to locate said valve and is subject to the same charges as a delinquent bill if not paid by the due date.
